“Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.” 1 Peter 3:20

Before the flood, God sent Noah to warn the world, that the people might be led to repentance, and thus escape the threatened destruction. As the time of Christ’s second appearing draws near, the Lord sends His servants with a warning to the world to prepare for that great event. Multitudes have been living in transgression of God’s law, and now He in mercy calls them to obey its sacred precepts. All who will put away their sins by repentance toward God and faith in Christ, are offered pardon.” – Christian Service, p. 53.

Questions to think about:

Why did Noah build the ark of the promised salvation, for so many years?

Why did the people ignore their chance to be saved, even every sound of the hammer was as preaching and invitation for them to be saved? Why did the animals follow the voice of God and were saved; but in our current last time, the believers who even know the Truth don’t want to surrender themselves entirely to Christ who alone can save them?

Do we want to be as faithful Noah who surrendered and followed God’s guidance entirely?
