Ministry Report – Fiji Islands
Dear Brethren in Christ,
Recently I was very pleased to receive an email letter from our brother in Christ Sanaila Ravia in regards to our missionary activity in Fiji and some other Pacific Islands. I would like to share with you a part of his letter with which to encourage you to be continuously creative in the spreading of the everlasting gospel among of those who are interested to understand the message and to those people who are nearby to you. Below is a part of Br. Sanaila’s message.
“Greetings in the name of Jesus
“Keep silence before me, O islands; and let the people renew their strength: let them come near; then let them speak: let us come near together to judgment.” Isaiah 41:1
“As you know, we have been engaged weekly with the distribution of our Fijian translated Sabbath school lessons from previous years to non-Adventist villages. Because we have each weeks lesson’s printed on folded A4 paper it was easier for each person to get a copy and read through.
What we are doing is that every Tuesday, our missionary work team go to villages and first get permission of the village chief and of course give him also his set of the lessons. Then after, we knock on each door, and then every single family receives about 16 lessons each.
For a couple of weeks this has been going on, and to date we are printing about 650-700 lessons. Tomorrow we will be visiting about 4-5 villages near Lemeki’s place, going by boats in the mangroves. We will be sending a report soon. Lately, we have received news that these lessons are now being used as sermons and preached from these non-Adventist churches. In this way we are building closer relationships with the villages for future evangelistic work. And we believe that the Lord will bless this effort.
We have been blessed that an honest person became a sponsor and has an interest to print all these lesson materials free of charge for these many weeks. Our plan is to reach a thousand printout.
This is a long term plan to cover as many villages as possible and we have seen the need for a photocopier or printer that we can produce more of such printouts in the future. We are quite glad that we are able to identify a suitable means now of outreach in the Fijian villages.
We have also discussed the survey sheet, which I have translated and also for the correspondence lessons to be translated and to go hand in hand where appropriate.”
Dear brethren around the globe, please pray for the Lord’s work in the Pacific.
The request of Christ is about to be completed. The pure Gospel of Christ is covering the Pacific islands.
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” Matthew 28:19-20
Let us have a courage in the power of the Holy Spirit knowing that Christ who sending us has said “All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.”
