Inaction in Christ’s service
‘Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the labourers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out labourers into His harvest.’ Matthew 9:37, 38
On every hand there are sheaves to be gathered for the garner of God. But where are the reapers? The field is wide, and there is a place for everyone to work, according to his ability. He who fails to do something manifests indifference to the claims of Christ. If we are not, as faithful stewards, working for him, we are serving another master. Jesus says: “He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathered not with me scattered abroad.” Inaction in Christ’s service is an evidence of positive hostility against him.
