Confession, humiliation, repentance, and prayer are necessary steps of conversion; when this is done “your Christian life is only entered upon, the formation of Christian character is yet before you, you have just entered the school of Christ, and need to continue to learn of him.” The Signs of the Times, February 14, 1878 par. 5
