Blessed time in New Caledonia
It was my privilege and duty to recently visit our brothers and sisters in New Caledonia.
It was a blessed trip. I hadn’t seen our brethren in this beautiful French island in quite some time. As usual, I was welcomed very warmly at Airport. We then travelled to Br. Hecquet’s home. In this family circle we had a special time of blessing together while discussing the current events as prophesied Bible signs for the soon coming of Christ. We all agreed that now is the time to understand that we need to be in a hurry and to seriously consider our spiritual preparation which depends on our close relationship with God. In Br. Hecquet’s home the meals are always very tasty. I also ate the biggest grapefruits I’ve ever seen! They are growing in the church yard.
The Sabbath meeting was special and very blessed for myself, our brethren and friends of the church. At the moment we have excellent Sabbath School Lessons reminding us to experience the real meaning of brotherly and Christian love. The effort of our dear Saviour is to implant this amazing love among His children in His church body.
The subject of our divine service was related to the prophecy written in Daniel 11: 40 – 45, which is connected with Daniel 12: 1-3 as well. The events of Jesus Christ’s soon coming are more than obvious. God designed the nation of Turkey to be used as a time prophecy clock. The current events related with Turkey clearly show that the last two verses of Daniel 11: 44 – 45 are in the process of fulfilment at this very moment. At the time when we will see the fulfilment of the last verse 45 related with Turkey: “he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him”, then we can be sure that “at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time…” Daniel 11:1
Only God the Father knows the time. We are only able to watch and read the signs, which foreshadow that big and expected event. Do we see these signs now in our time, do we understand them, do we react adequately to everything that is happening around us – this is the subject of all of our thoughts, for those who desire salvation.
Soon our dear Saviour will come and take us with Him to the place where “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” I Corinthians 1:21
My prayer and true desire is that our church and each one of us personally can say with an honest heart and with our actions “Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!” Revelation 22:20 (second part)
Every one of us has the dream to experience personally when all tears will be replaced with a smile, sadness with joy, the difficulties and trials with happiness and blessings and the redeemed to be changed into a new creation.
I felt great joy to be with my brethren in our church there, additionally I was glad to hear the testimony of a new interest for baptism.
Let our New Caledonian members’ daily experiences with God have more and more reasons to glorify His Name by their successful efforts to save new souls.
May God bless our church there and bless you as the reader. This is my wish and prayer. Amen
